Something woke Ruby the Hen in the dead of night — feathers scattered, heart pounding, danger in the air.

Deep in the gentle fields of Lebanon, Kentucky, a sly red fox is on the prowl. And it's up to Farmer Duke and Mrs. Duke to protect every creature they love.

What follows is a rhythmic, beautifully illustrated adventure filled with mystery, courage, and the kind of warmth that makes little ones want to hear it again and again.

Ruby and the Sly Red Fox is the first book in The Farmer Duke Series — a heartfelt collection set on a Kentucky farm where life's biggest lessons are learned in the simplest moments. Through lyrical storytelling and timeless values, children and parents discover together what it truly means to care for the ones you love.
